Do you know, our Lord Jesus told us from His word that we
are living in a field which is filled with hidden treasures. But to uncover
these treasure, you need Jesus.
In Mathew 13:44, it reads "Again, the kingdom of heaven
is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he
hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that
field.”
What is our Lord Jesus teaching us? He was teaching us his
followers the SECRET TO FINANCIAL SUCCESS. But what are these secrets?
Considering the above scripture, Jesus revealed these most
important secret to us. Who else can teach us about financial matters so
perfectly, if not the Lord Jesus himself.
#SECRET ONE (The field)
Jesus said the TREASURES are hidden in a field. But what are
these treasures? In these context, the treasure is any legal thing that is
capable of generating wealth. But one thing we must take note of, is that,
treasures are not found in the surface, that is why you need Jesus.
Haven said that, if the treasures are hidden in a field,
then, where is this field? Lets take a look at what Jesus has to say to this
question. In Mathew 13: 38A, Jesus said the field is the WORLD. Can you believe
that? With this first secret revealed, you and I have the opportunity to find
our treasure, haven known that the treasures are in this world we are in. But
to discover yours, you need Jesus, because treasures are not found in the
surface, never you forget that. It means you can never discover your treasure
in this world by yourself, you need a deeper eyes, and that eyes can only be
found in Jesus.
#SECRET TWO (He hideth)
The next secret Jesus revealed from the above text (Matt.
13: 44), is the NEED TO HIDE, what does this mean? When you discover your
treasure, hide it, don't blow it out for the world (your brothers, sisters;
friends; parents e.t.c) to hear. You know, many at times, when people discover
their treasure, they tend to announce it, but Jesus said that is a wrong
approach to handling your discovered secret. So what should you do when you
discover your treasure? Jesus said HIDE IT, i.e keep it secret, don't publicize
it, at best, tell it to God and your pastor.
#SECRET THREE (He sold all he has to buy the treasure)
Haven discovered your treasure, Jesus said buy it. But How?
Many have discovered a business that will generate wealth, but have refused to
buy it. When Jesus said you should buy it, He is teaching us the need to INVEST.
Child of God, Jesus is telling us that this year is a year of INVESTMENT. What
is that money doing in your bank account lying fallow, and the banks are using
it to do whatever they want. No, you must invest. When you have discovered your
treasure in this world, go ahead and buy it. Have you received a business
ideas? go ahead and buy it (invest).
SUMMARY:
* The treasures that will change your life are in this
world. God has hidden so many treasures in this world, but you need Jesus to
find yours out.
* Learn to hide your treasure when you discover it. Don't
blow it nor announce it.
* Learn to always buy your treasure, i.e be ready to invest
your money as soon as you find your treasures.
May God bless His word in your hearts through Jesus
Christ....Amen
